Wednesday's Challenge
We are going to support The Butterfly Effect project that is wanting to share the image of butterflies as a symbol of endurance and solidarity (see post below)
Can you design a butterfly and share an image with us on our Facebook page so that we can spread a little happiness with the rest of the world.
The Butterfly Effect, London
Colour in a little Butterfly…and be a part of something BIG!
Butterflies are a symbol of endurance and solidarity in many cultures around the world. We are embarking on a momentous journey, just as the Monarch butterfly does each year as it travels vast distances towards safety and new life.
Colour in or design your own butterfly and put it up in your window or fix it to a tree by your home, or share it by posting it here or to Instagram tagging @butterflieslondon
Thank you for being part of The Butterfly Effect, London
Be aware of scam emails
We have been informed that some parents have received an email stating the following: ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.
We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond, and delete it immediately.

Schools may be shut at the moment but reading doesn’t have to stop. To help support teachers, students and parents to 'Keep the UK and Ireland reading', myON are offering access to thousands of enhanced digital books through myON and articles from myON News that children can read online.
The link below will take you to the website to select the books you would like to read.
On our website we have now put links to maths lessons that you can do at home with your child. There is a video that explains the session and then an activity for the children to complete.
In order to get to the lesson go to the website and click on learning - class pages and then the year group that your child is in. Click the home learning option and the link for the sessions are on that page.
For as long as schools are closed, we're open. Starting today, children everywhere can instantly stream an incredible collection of stories, including titles across six different languages, that will help them continue dreaming, learning, and just being kids.
All stories are free to stream on your desktop, laptop, phone or tablet.
Use the link below to start explore the collection, select a title and start listening.
Just to update you all that Lancashire County Council have now sent the food packs that are to go home to free school meal families. These packs can be picked up from the school office by 3:30pm on Tuesday 24th March 2020.
As these packs contain fresh food we will not be able to hold on to them beyond today. Please contact school if you have any questions regarding this as soon as possible.
