We have been informed that some parents have received an email stating the following: ‘As schools will be closing, if you’re entitled to free school meals, please send your bank details and we’ll make sure you’re supported’.
We can confirm that this is a scam email and is not official. We urge parents that if you receive any emails like this, please do not respond, and delete it immediately.

Free School Meal Information
Mon 30 Mar 2020Parents of children who receive free school meals should receive a text this morning. This is to let you know that the meals can be picked up from school today between 2 and 3:30. If you require any further help or information about this then please contact school as soon as possible. Thanks -
Books to read online

To help support teachers, students and parents to 'Keep the UK and Ireland reading', myON are offering access to thousands of enhanced digital books through myON and articles from myON News that children can read online.

Maths Lessons to work on at home
Thu 26 Mar 2020On our website we have now put links to maths lessons that you can do at home with your child. There is a video that explains the session and then an activity for the children to complete.
In order to get to the lesson go to the website and click on learning - class pages and then the year group that your child is in. Click the home learning option and the link for the sessions are on that page.

Free School Meal Packs
Tue 24 Mar 2020Just to update you all that Lancashire County Council have now sent the food packs that are to go home to free school meal families. These packs can be picked up from the school office by 3:30pm on Tuesday 24th March 2020.
As these packs contain fresh food we will not be able to hold on to them beyond today. Please contact school if you have any questions regarding this as soon as possible.

When school can provide care for your children during the Coronavirus outbreak.

Important information for Monday morning
Sun 22 Mar 2020We just wanted to post this information for the children who school is opening for on Monday.
Parents please could you ensure that your children are in school for 9am and enter the school through the main door. There will be an information sheet that will need completing on the first day so please allow time for this to be carried out.
Breakfast Club will be running from 8.30am. If you would like your child to attend Breakfast Club then please come to the main door at this time as this will be taking place in the main hall.
If your children normally have a school lunch then they will have it provided like normal, otherwise they can bring a packed lunch or you can ask to have a school dinner. Speak to the Office in order to get this arranged if required.
Children do not have to wear their school uniform and can come in their own clothes.
School will close at 3.30pm, please could all children be picked up from the main door.
If you have any questions regarding these arrangements then please contact school as soon as possible so that we can give you the information that you require.

School Closure Letter to Parents
Wed 18 Mar 2020Dear Parents/Carers,
As you may be aware the government has announced that all UK schools will close on Friday 20th March 2020. We would like to confirm that school will be open to all children tomorrow and Friday.
After Friday 20th March the school is required to remain open for children of key workers and children in vulnerable groups. At this point in time we are unable to state exactly who would be in these groups as we require further guidance from the government. As soon as we know we will communicate that to you.
Once we have further guidance from the government, we will inform you of future arrangements. We would like to reassure you that all pupils whether in school or not will continue to receive the very best care and education we can give.
Pupils not in school will be supported to learn remotely and through the home learning packs which will be sent home on Friday. The staff have been preparing to ensure that work is planned for children when not in school.
Those who may remain in school will be taught in person by staff in school.
We would like to thank all of you for working with us and responding to the previous advice which is helping us all to keep our community safe.
Please look after yourselves, your families and your neighbours.
