The Early Years Foundation Stages or EYFS refers to Walverden's Nursery and Reception programmes. All the children in both Nursery and Reception will follow our Early Years program in order to develop their learning and improve their reading, writing and maths skills. Children in the Early Years unit have carefully planned lessons that are based around the seven areas of learning. These are divided into the prime areas of learning (personal, social, emotional development, physical development and communication and language) and the areas (Literacy, Maths, understanding the World and expressive arts and design).
With access to dedicated facilities both indoors and outdoors, children develop through play with carefully planned activities based on the children's interests.
