  • Nelson FC Football Trials

    Fri 29 Apr 2016

Nelson FC are starting new junior football teams over the coming months with the aim to provide children who live or go to school in Nelson a chance to play for football for their hometown.

Currently there is no junior team in Nelson and local children have to go to surrounding towns and villages to join a team. The new junior teams are a great way to get children in Nelson from different schools mixing together and representing Nelson as junior football teams.

Here is the link to the website article with information about this Sunday's free open trials.

  • Values Parent Meeting

    Tue 05 Apr 2016

As part of their personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE), the children at Walverden school have been exploring values (honesty, integrity, kindness, perseverance etc.).  We have asked the children what values they believe are most important in a person. We would also like to know what values parents believe are important to teach children within our school.  You are invited to a meeting on Thursday 28th April where you will be given the opportunity to put across your views. We will select the six most popular values which the children will then vote from on Thursday 26th May when we will be holding a values election day. The top 3 will be taught during the next academic year, one value per term.

We look forward to seeing you there.
