  • Year 1 and Year 4

    Wed 13 Jan 2021

Due to members of staff currently being ill in both the above Year Groups, we will be reducing the amount of work set on Class Dojo for the short term.

The work will still be posted daily but it may take a little longer for the staff to respond to the work.

Please bear with us whilst we put actions in place to support your child with their learning.

It would really help if you could upload any of your work to the portfolios as messages cannot be approved by any other member of staff.

Thank you for your support at this time.

  • Kooth information sessions for parents

    Tue 12 Jan 2021

    Kooth information sessions for parents/carers

With the latest lockdown and schools closures, young people may really benefit from some additional support with their mental health.

Kooth can offer that MH and wellbeing support to young people in Lancashire
(only) aged 10-16. We appreciate that while many professionals in our network may know who we are, there are parents and carers who want help for their children that aren't aware of the Kooth service.

There are two Kooth information sessions on the 21 and 27 January. These sessions will offer an insight into the service and give space for a Q&A too.

Parents and carers can register a place to attend with these links.

  • New COVID Lockdown

    Mon 04 Jan 2021

Following on from the announcement this evening, we as a school will be following the government guidance. This means school will be closed to the majority of our children. We will remain open for keyworker and vulnerable children (these have all been contacted today). If you have any questions please contact the school office on 01282 614834 during school hours tomorrow to discuss.

We will be looking into the FSM Voucher Scheme and will contact all parents who are eligible this week.

We would like to thank you for your continues support, take care and please continue to stay safe.

  • Closure of school this week

    Sun 03 Jan 2021

    Dear Parents,

I apologise for the late communication, but I am sure you will all appreciate that the Governors and I have had to carefully Risk Assess our current situation with regards to keeping staff, learners, and extended families as safe as possible during this Pandemic.

We have decided school will be closed tomorrow for all children and work will be uploaded onto Class Dojo for children to complete. Any keyworkers who would like they child to attend school for the remainder of the week (Tuesday– Friday) please contact the school office between 9am-12noon tomorrow.

We will review the situation next week.

Your child’s education and well-being is our main concern but we have to try as a community to keep as safe as possible. If your child is coming into school because they are a keyworker child then please do not send your child into school if anyone in your household is unwell.  Please also do not send your child to school if they are unwell.

Please make sure that your child can access ClassDojo. You may ring school if you have any questions around it.

Once again, I thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time.

    Kind regards,

    Humma Ahmed

    Headteacher
