The Great British Spring Clean is a campaign with one simple ambition. To bring together people from across the country to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and coastline.
As a school we are going to be involved with this project due to the work of our School Council, who would like to clean up the environment in and around the school, so look out for more information.

Walk2School Week
You may or may not already be aware that the current theme for PSHE is being healthy. With this in mind we are proposing a walk to school initiative. Therefore the week commencing 12th December 2016 will be our walk to school week. We are encouraging each child to become more active to benefit their health and wellbeing and feel this would contribute towards this. Each child will receive a leaflet which they will fill in throughout the week and we are asking for a parent to sign under each day to verify this. In class a chart and class survey will identify who has walked to school the most. Prizes will be given in each class for the children who have walked to school the most.
The school is part of a cluster that is called the SWAT cluster- schools working and achieving together. The cluster was given some money by Lancashire to work together to celebrate differences and similarities. Yesterday a group of our students attended an art event at the Ace Centre where they worked with children from lots of different schools to produce a collaborative piece of artwork. We will share the finished piece when ready. They were a credit to the school and themsleves.
