Walverden have been part of The Pendle Pupil Parliament since 2014. The Parliament is made up of 12 primary schools from around Pendle and each school have two representatives who attend regular meetings at Nelson Town Hall. There is a formal organising committee and the purpose of the meetings is to discuss issues that effects schools in Pendle

Recent topics have included: litter picking, dog fouling and safe parking outside school.

Our last campaign was Every Action has Consequences—which is still an on-going topic for this term.

Pendle Pupil Parliament has a high profile in the local area and meetings are often attended by important guests such as the local MP, police and local business owners.

Both our representatives are from year 6 and work extremely hard at achieving the best for our school and our community.
