Meet the Governors

Welcome from the Chair of Governors

On behalf of the Governors of the Walverden Primary School, I am pleased to welcome you to our website, and to thank you for your interest in our school.

We are proud to offer a caring family atmosphere placing an emphasis on the whole child. We want all our children to develop to their full potential academically and socially, so that they become responsible and caring adults in their later lives, we aim to achieve this in a happy and safe environment.

The role of the Governing Body is to work closely with the Headteacher and staff to provide the very best education that we can for the children of our school. We are there to make sure that school’s performance is evaluated and continuously improves, to provide the strategic direction for the school, to ensure legal obligations are met and that the school is in a position to meet the challenges it faces. Most of all we are there because we care for our school and want it to be the best it can for our children.

If you have any questions about the role of the Governing Body or any other matters you can contact me via the school office on 01282 614834.

I hope that your children enjoy their time at Walverden Primary School.
