Worried About a Child?

At Walverden Primary School, we are committed to keeping all children safe. If you are worried about the safety, welfare or wellbeing of a child, it is important that you share your concerns. You do not need to be certain that a child is being harmed to seek advice or report a concern.

If you think a child is in immediate danger, call the Police on 999 straight away.

If you have concerns about a child living in Lancashire, you can contact:

Lancashire Children's Services

• Telephone: 0300 123 6720 (Monday to Friday)

• Out-of-hours Emergency Duty Team: 0300 123 6722

Lancashire Police

• Emergency: 999

• Non-emergency: 101

You can also speak to a member of our safeguarding team at school. We will always take concerns seriously and work with families and other agencies to ensure children receive the help and support they need.

Remember: If something doesn't feel right, trust your instincts and seek advice. Reporting a concern could make a significant difference to a child's life
