Computing

Our Computing curriculum helps children develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to thrive in an increasingly digital world. Starting in Nursery and Reception, children learn to use technology safely and purposefully through activities such as creating digital artwork, using iPads, programming simple Bee-Bot instructions and developing early keyboard skills. As pupils move through school, they build their understanding of coding, data handling, spreadsheets, databases, internet safety, digital communication, presentations, animation and artificial intelligence. By Year 6, pupils are able to apply their computing knowledge creatively and independently, using a range of digital tools to solve problems, analyse information and communicate effectively. Throughout the curriculum, children learn how to use technology responsibly, safely and confidently, preparing them for future learning and life in a digital society
