At Walverden Primary school we have oracy at the heart of everything we do. We believe that in order for children to access the curriculum, they need access to a wide range of ambitious vocabulary. Our school curriculum teaches the children to use ambitious vocabulary and to develop conversational skills needed for the future. 

We use a range of strategies for teaching vocabulary, including Talk for writing, talk programmes and Voice 21 strategies. Please see the documents below for more information.
